Thank you very much for your efficient service. The mulch was very easy to spread round my boarders and looks really good, as well as improving my soil structure. Thank you Mary
Super impressed with the quality of the compost. Friendly company and highly recommended.
Really helpful staff and who gave great advice about which mulch etc I needed to buy. Good price and the products are such good quality. Would highly recommend!
Thank you for the recently completed order. I cannot fault any aspect of the whole process, from ordering on line, your telephone confirmation, and e mailing an answer to a delivery question. The prompt and on time delivery, could not be faulted. Even a follow up to check all ok. Well down, and will definitely be using again.
Marvellous stuff- 2nd jumbo bag was mulched down very finely, better than 1st which had large lumps in. Great service, very helpful staff. Will be ordering some more soon

Prompt, helpful service and a great product. Will definitely be ordering more Maximulch in the future.
Field Compost continue to delivery good service all round. Helpful staff at the end of the phone, and at garden fairs; delivery driver timely, precise with his delivery and also helpful. The product, Maximulch seems to be doing a good job supporting plant growth. The new border we used it on is doing noticeably well. We shall use the products again.
Great at last to find a weed free mulch. This spreads nicely and, with help from the local worm population, is is quickly absorbed into the soil beneath. I have used it on my small vegetable patch and large perennial flower borders and everything is flourishing. One thing to note is that the lorrry that delivers the bags needs more than a single lane road or a very wide driveway outside your property to lift the bags onto the driveway. For me the problem was solved by me signing a waiver that held me responsible for any damage caused to kerbs, fences, grass, etc. As the delivery driver was very careful, no damage was done.

I saw the Field Compost range of products at the Ickworth Wood Fair and was impressed by their knowledge and commitment to quality of the product. I have ordered and used two 1000 litre bags of maximulch and 1000 litres of forest bark. All have been excellent quality. Placing an order and agreeing the date that would suit me was easy. I am particularly impressed by the delivery - helpful, friendly and willing to put the bags where I needed them over a hedge.
Very pleased with our bag of Maxi Mulch. Arrived in time for the hot summer and worked well around plants to keep moisture in and weeds away whilst away on holiday. Otherwise, I am sure plants would have not survived. Less watering needed. Excellent consistency. Excellent service always by Field Compost staff. Highly recommended.

I have already reviewed the sample of maximulch I was given and, having ordered a jumbo bag (which my wife is currently using on all the ground she has prepared) our high opinion of this product continues. We are already planning where we want to put the next bag. Superb and definitely to be recommended.

Good stuff. It on my boarders and so far , not w weed in site. Now we've finally had some rain, the mulch is washing into the ground nicely
I used Maximulch on my garden flower beds and found it a breeze to lay around my plants as a deep mulch. The product helped my plants to cope throughout the drought and suspect with more (any)! rain the results would have been even better. Maximulch is now incorporating into my garden soil really well and sets the plants off a treat. Some Begonias did really well providing a lovely display through the summer. Give it a go as I see they currently have an offer 'till the end of August. Even if there wasn't an offer this is a great product and addition to their range. They are brilliant on delivery. Do however think carefully where you want the Jumbo Bag so you have good and easy access to barrow Maximulch to your deserving flowerbeds. BJ
I think this product is going to be very successful. This has been the best year for our tomatoes. When my conifer trees come out I’m digging in Maximulch for replanting.

I received a free bag of this mulch to try, and spread it as directed over a small section of my garden - just in time for the hot weather. I didn't expect a great deal as nothing was flourishing with the heat. This little oasis, however stood out from the rest. While not much was in the bed, what was there was doing noticeably better than the rest. Whether this was due to retaining moisture or providing necessary feed, (or both), I don't know. What I do know is that i will be ordering a quantity of this mulch for the rest of the garden and see if it does the same for that. One added advantage, we discovered, compared to using a bark mulch, was that the blackbirds haven't scattered it all over the lawn or paths as they do with the bark, as they search for insects.
I mulched the raspberries with this and had my best crop ever.
We received our bag of Maximulch just as this summer's heatwave was starting and decided to use it to mulch our french beans, peas and runner beans. Goodness, what a difference it's made to the amount of watering they've needed, which was very welcome in this long hot summer. It also improved the structure of our clay soil when dug in before the second batch of french beans were planted out. Another great product from Field Compost!
Got a trial bag of this and used it as mulch to suppress weeds in a number of large pots. Works well, it's still there after a few months (ie. it didn't disintegrate), no weeds. It is easy to spread, quite wet initially. Might well have added some nutrients as well but cannot really tell as I'd use fertiliser anyway. Had some mould forming at some point but that did not persist (hence 4 stars not 5- it wasn't a problem but wonder if that would have been more in a wet summer).
Good mulch for soil planting and plant pots highly recommend. Especially in the recent dry conditions.
Very pleased with this product as I was experimenting with different types on my borders this year.Smell ok and feel was easy to manage and the birds didn't pull it out onto the lawn as bad as the bark! Some surface weeds first appeared but as the bedding plants flourished despite the heatwave,I was very pleased with the result.
This is an excellent, high humus content, moisure retaining rapid release fertilizer which is adding the perfect amount of nutrients to plants in both my slightly alkaline and acidic soils (6.3 - 8.2) I have seen great yield and displays from both orinimental and edible plants which have performed exceptionally well especially given this years significant drought spell.
