This year’s RHS London Shades of Autumn show will present the beauty of autumnal colours while exploring the edible delights that the season has to bring. It also offers tons of stimulating advice to keep your garden full of colour and texture throughout the autumn months. So now we are in the full swing of autumn, why not wander round the RHS Lindley and RHS Lawrence Horticultural Halls in London?
The first show commences on Tuesday October 24th (late event), open from 6pm till 9pm. The following showings will be from 10am till 5pm, on Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th October.
As well inspiring programmes of talks across both days, including BBC Gardeners’ World presenter Nick Bailey talking about “Unusual Edibles in the City”. A section on immersive learning is offered, a style of learning situations that are constructed using a variety of techniques and software tools, in order to create simulation-based learning in virtual 3D worlds.
According to the Growing Events website, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about urban foraging and seasonal growing techniques along with plant-based contemporary crafts. The show also has talks from renowned horticulturists Roy Lancaster, Anne Swithinbank, as well as ornithologist Bill Oddie.
Rare and unusual plants will be available from growers such as The Botanic Nursery, Plant base and Harperley Hall Farm Nurseries, while new floral stands include Calamaag Nursery, Strictly Daylilies and Ashwood Nurseries.
